Are you thinking of raising chickens for meat, eggs, or friends? Are you new to raising new to chickens? Cornell Cooperative Extension has you covered. This 3 session webinar and discussion series will teach you how to select, house, and care for small flocks of poultry. Our first course in the series will be on March 24th and will cover everything you need to get started with laying hens. This course will review the realities and best practices of keeping a small flock on your farm, homestead, or back yard. Class instructor, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County Livestock Educator Jason Detzel, has many years of chicken-raising experience with both laying hens and meat breeds of all kinds. Pre-registration for these discussions is required, but there is no fee to register.
